My wife and I gave our 6 year old daughter a blue eyed, all black 2 month old kitten. She wanted to name him Been and then I found your site. Every year we vacation on cape cod, Massachusetts; so when we SALEM well, you just know when the name finds you.

6 of my 10 cats are black so I had to dig deep for with names. I took the name “Church” from Pet Sematary for a beat up, feral tom cat who resembled the reanimated feline in the movie, “Houdini” for a feral who constantly evaded capture, “Zenith” and “Nadir” for twins who were polar opposites, “Sable” who was black with a reddish-brown undercoat, and “Tchado” an alternate spelling of the ever-popular Shadow.

We rescued a 3 week old male blue eyed black cat and decided to name him Lucifer because I love the show but I still wasn’t quite sure if that was the right name. But once I looked at this site and saw the name Lucifer I knew it was the name for him!!
