How could you forget Bagheera? He was the black panther from “The Jungle Books.” I always thought it was a great name for a big black cat.

I don’t see Smudge mentioned much. That’s my Nebelung aka longhaired blue Russian. He’s just a darker blue sliver than most Nebelungs and Blue Rus. At first glance he’s just many colors of gray black or dark smoke that he reminded me of a smudge of black ink on paper lol. I already have a midnight, Had an Ash, but he was technically Ashy Slashy aka Ashley Williams Evil dead. 1&2, AoD 3. My Shadow just died . Tragically. Names get retired permanently for me for all my animals once they’re gone.

I’m a car guy. Especially classic cars from the ’60s and ’70s. One classic vintage car that I love from that era a half-century ago was the Mercury Cougar. How about “Cougar” for my black male cat name? I would get a real vintage Mercury Cougar emblem for his cat collar and license. What do you all think of the name “Cougar” for my black male cat name”

We named our black cat (I am sure he is Bombay, we have papers) Guinness from the dark beer. Anyone that hears his me always comments on how cool his name is also it fits him perfectly. He is getting up in years but just presents himself as gentle manly. He looks to be a lad that might enjoy a nice stout dark ale. Of course has never taken to the “drink”. Seriously cats of any breed or name would not likely enjoy beer. As with most people food and drink. They mostly stay away. And folks should steer clear of feeding anything to a cat that humans consume. Not cool. They need cat food both wet and dry and easy on treats. A creature that does not actually taste sweet they really get spoiled to treats and will with some felines start passing on food for treats.
Easy does it. They can be tricky with pulling hunger strikes and hold out for treats. I knew a lady this occurred with her cat. He never ate anything but treats and she obliged. The cat was nutritionally challenged and it showed and cit his little life shorter. Love and responsible care for our marvelous feline friends and family. Thanks for readinge. God bless the cat lover folks out there.
